Mike Mullen, a professor of soil science and dean of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, received the 2014 Distinguished Educator Award from the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture in recognition of his service to the organization and to higher education through teaching, educational research and administration.
Mullen received the organization’s top honor at its the annual conference last month at Montana State University. Mullen has been a member of NACTA since 1999. He served on the board of directors from 2003 through 2011 and was board president in 2009.
NACTA is a professional society that focuses on promoting, recognizing and rewarding excellence in teaching in agriculture and related areas at the post secondary level in North America.
