Before Hillsborough Street gets one more makeover – with two more traffic circles, another private student housing complex and an ultra-modern boutique hotel – the NC State community has a chance to become more familiar with the historic campus boundary by taking advantage of some “Howling Good Deals” with a Wolfpack One Debit Mastercard at dining venues up and down the street.
Each month, participating merchants on Hillsborough will offer special discounts exclusively to students, faculty and staff who have activated their Wolfpack One cards and made a deposit into their accounts.
Through a partnership with the Hillsborough Street Community Services Corporation and Wolfpack One, several hot dining spots have already signed up to participate in the program, including the Pita Pit, The Alley, Jersey Mike’s, Coffee Haven, Two Guys and Fresh Berry.

Jeff Murison, executive director of HSCSC, said that for many years, Hillsborough Street merchants have asked for ways to connect with students, faculty and staff through a program similar to those found at other education institutions.
“We are excited about this partnership and appreciate NC State developing a program that offers a positive opportunity for the merchants,” Murison said. “Today’s consumers are more and more sophisticated, looking for great deals that are easy to use and are technology friendly solutions. The Howling Good Deals accomplishes all of that and more.”
Jennifer Gilmore, director of marketing and communications for Campus Enterprises, said the program will help connect the NC State community with the Hillsborough Street merchants.
“Because Hillsborough Street is essentially an extension of campus, this partnership only makes our relationship stronger and our ID card more useful,” Gilmore said. “Students, faculty and staff can carry one card that allows them to not only eat on campus and make purchases through our University Dining and AllCampus programs, but also get good deals on Hillsborough Street by using the Debit MasterCard account.”
Students, faculty and staff who have not activated their accounts and made a deposit can learn more about how to do so on the Wolfpack One Card website.
