Amir Kajbafvala won the 2012 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Council on Superconductivity Graduate Fellowship in Applied Superconductivity. Kajbafvala is a Ph.D. candidate in materials science and engineering. The IEEE awards the annual fellowship to encourage students to enter and contribute to the field of applied superconductivity. The award was presented at the 2012 Applied Superconductivity Conference in Portland, Ore.
