NC State has approved a regulation allowing parental leave for eligible graduate students. All full-time, matriculated graduate students anticipating the birth or care of a newborn or placement or care of an adopted or foster child may apply for relief from academic responsibilities for a period of up to six weeks.  The full regulation is available at http://policies.ncsu.edu/regulation/reg-02-15-08
