NC State’s Leadership in Agriculture and Life Sciences program was honored as outstanding leadership program at the Association of Leadership Educators conference last month in Milwaukee.
Undergraduate students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences can pursue a minor in leadership through the program. The goal is to offer students a competitive edge in applying for management positions.
The program’s director, Dr. David W. W. Jones, assistant professor of agricultural and extension education, received the organization’s Rising Star Award at the conference. Dr. Jackie Bruce, assistant professor of agricultural and extension education, was installed as 2010-11 president.
