Dr. Doug Gillan, head of the psychology department, will chair a symposium on human-robot interaction (HRI) research at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society annual meeting in October.

Gillan will also participate in an HRI workshop in May that is part of an Army Research Lab grant. Gillan is helping to develop a document that provides detailed guidelines for the development of human-robot interfaces for the Army (the first such document of its kind).
